(Saracen/13260) - WW> I agree with socio-economics not being a prime motiviator for the 9/11

WW> I agree with socio-economics not being a prime motiviator for the 9/11 hijackers. I didn't mean to imply that. What I meant is that socio-economics is the prime motivator for the majority. A person will protest in the streets, violently, if he's at wit's end. A person will protest non-violently on other issues that he may feel strongly about, such as abortion or election reform. Violent or angry protesting comes from a different place. It's not unique to the ME and it has little to do with Islam.

(Survector/13262) - Poverty in developing countries also means you don’t go to school because you

Poverty in developing countries also means you don't go to school because you can't afford to. For example, in Indonesia, education is free and compulsory until grade 9. In reality though, the schools will force everyone to buy the books regardless of what the government says (there is zero enforcement of this), which is about $200 per semester (average salary for the poor is $30/month). They can't afford it, so they drop out after elementary school. It's easier for radical to prey on the uneducated and those from broken homes. Uneducated people are more likely to be brainwashed by the radical Muslims' agenda. Just like we see with the neo-Nazi movement, although Germany and other EU countries are developed, Russia is quite poor and is seeing a significant increase in the number of neo-Nazi hate crimes. Cracking down on such groups could lead to others seeing them as "martyrs" and the illegal element of it all could encourage delinquents and the underprivileged to join their ranks. A war of words is a better solution, IMO, although I can't stand Wahhabis and neo-Nazis. Seems like they have something in common. I read an article by a Wahhabi website where they were complaining about Islam being stolen by the pacifists. Whatever that means... I'll post the link here: http://www.allaahuakbar.net/individual_callers/hamza_yusuf/recapturing_islam_fr om_the_pacifists.htm “Recapturing Islam from the Pacifists”. Crazy.. and this is funded by Saudi Arabia, the prime sponsor of the Wahhabi sect.
